Sonic Emitter

Power supply: 12 V to 15 V DC. Power consumption does not exceed 30 mW.
The red terminal should be connected to the positive pole of the battery or power
supply. During the period of intensive nectar collection it is recommended to place
the emitter under the hive, after having been secured with e.g. foil. In winter, it is
advisable to locate the sonic emitter (protected by foil) inside the hive, in shallow
super.
The subtle acoustic field of the sonic emitter is perceived by the
mechanosensors of developing varroosis, which may hinder the location of the
offspring by the female varroosis, which punctures the cuticle of the bee larvae near
the offspring. In this way, the process of nourishing varroosis is disturbed during its
development. In addition, the acoustic waves of the sonic emitter may prevent the
fertilization of the female by male varroosis. Malnourished varroosis larvae do not
reach the imago stage and fall to the bottom of the hive when the young bee leaves
the cell.
Additionally, the acoustic field of the sonic emitter stimulates the bees to
increased hygiene and grooming behavior. Young varroosis usually show a damaged
legs and/or dorsal shield.

The photovoltaic panel is a source of constant battery charging, thanks to which the sonic emitter works in a continuous way and maintenance free.
